SIX WAYS TO INVEST IN YOURSELF AND YOUR FUTURE.

We've all heard about how important it is to make sustaining preparations for our future; An investment is anything that you deposit resources (money, time, energy) in because you look forward to enjoy it's benefits in the future. In this article, I hope to remind you of some of the common things you should be consistent with in order to enjoy the continuity of a golden age that lasts longer. This article covers six individual strategies that you should be practicing if you wish to have more fun during your declining years, so make sure to read till the very last word. Let's start with this:



1. DISCOVER YOUR PURPOSE, AND LIVE IT.


The first thing I'd recommend in this article is to unearth your true passion or purpose, and make sure you live it. In essence, your purpose is something you do in service to others, and not for personal or self-seeking reasons. Your purpose is also a solution to a problem that speaks to you greatly and affects you deeply. But then again, your purpose is also something that you love to do, and can do consistently every single day because it never tires you out; rather, it gives you a sense of pure satisfaction and rejuvenates you.


Finding your purpose as an individual should be deliberate, and should be done with a great deal of patience. Doing what you love everyday energizes you hence, reduces the number of stressors you have to deal with at the end of a period of time; this is very beneficial to your mental health (I talk about this in the next paragraph) and physical health in the future. 2. PROTECT THE HEALTH OF YOUR MIND AND BODY.


Stress is any circumstance that affects a person's overall well-being in a threatening manner. These are the two categories of response to stress; an angry (impatient) response, or a peaceful and relaxing response. It has been shown that individuals who tend to respond angrily are prone to developing heart diseases such as hypertension and heart failure. They are also more prone to infectious diseases because the consistent presence of stress decreases the effectiveness of a person's immune system.

3. INVEST IN EDUCATION.


I most often talk about how important it is to prepare for the opportunities you wish to have some day. One way to do this is to dedicate yourself to continual learning and acquisition of skills. This doesn't necessarily have to cost you financially, or be extremely expensive. The only things required are your commitment—especially when it comes to the free learning opportunities. You must make sure to learn all that is needed to make the practice of your job or business more effective and meaningful.


This prevents you or your business from becoming obsolete because you are always up to speed with the latest information. In fact, investing in education should be the foremost activity for any one who hopes to successful in any new venture.



4. INVEST IN PERSONAL GROWTH.


Developing yourself with the aim of attaining your full potential as a person is something everyone should be interested in doing; because, it enhances your performance in every part of your life and makes it easier for you to attain your goals. A journey of self-improvement always begins with self-awareness, which I've already spoken about in this article.


Working on yourself until you are able to effective and efficient in any task whiles using the least effort is something that is sure to reward you in the future; We all know that the older we get, the harder it is to get anything done.



5. STAY PHYSICALLY FIT.


Ensuring the vitality of your body as you age is as important as eating every single day. There are several ways of maintaining a healthy body and they can all be practiced simultaneously; some of the practices include


  • having a healthy, balanced diet

  • exercising

  • having a satisfying night's sleep

  • Meditation

Staying physically fit by performing these practices goes a long way to protect your body against diseases and premature aging.



6. BE FINANCIALLY PREPARED.


The final strategy I want to discuss in this article is financial investment. This is simply the act of putting money away in platforms that will pay you more in the future by using that money to conduct business. Financial investment could be as simple as buying a shares in a company, or as involving as real estate investment.


No matter how simple or complex your preferred choice of investment plan is, it is important to be absolutely certain of it's authenticity and safety. Anyone who wishes to have a secured financial future must engage in the activities of investing.
